Program:This is a gathering for representatives of mission (outreach/social concerns/peace & justice) committees of Lehigh Valley congregations for conversation about ways that we can work together more closely.Many of our congregations have mission (outreach/social concerns/peace & justice) committees with similar focus or goals. This is an opportunity to find out what other congregations are doing in the way of missions and outreach, and to begin forming partnerships to work for common goals. The meeting room will have table space available for participants who have displays or resource materials to share. Schedule:
History:This is the second annual event which originally grew out of a conversation with Rev. Dr. Bob Edgar at our annual Food/Hunger gathering in March 2010. Bob Edgar challenged us to begin working together on common goals across denominational and congregational boundaries, so that we can be more effective in our work.
Registration:It will be helpful for our planning if you can let us know that you are coming -- either through our web-based registration form (preferably by June 8th), or by calling the LCCC office: 610-433-6421.Child Care will be available for pre-registered participants. (There is no charge for registration, but donations for the cost of lunch are welcome.)
